Russian National Reports Villa Vandalism in South Kuta, Police Launch Investigation

BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG – Police in South Kuta are investigating an alleged vandalism incident at Villa Dom, located on Jalan Nusa Dua Highland No. 25, Benoa Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, following a report filed by a Russian national.

The victim, identified by his initials ED, 47, reported the incident to South Kuta Police on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. According to the report, the incident occurred at approximately 10:58 a.m. local time and was initially reported through the emergency hotline 110. Police officers arrived at the scene at around 11:46 a.m.

Preliminary information indicates that the incident stemmed from a dispute between the victim and the property owner regarding a grace period for payment related to Villa Dom. The property owner allegedly requested that the victim vacate the premises, but the request was refused, leading to tensions between the parties.

According to the victim’s statement, several individuals, including two alleged perpetrators identified by the initials YAG and JPVH, arrived at the villa accompanied by a group of people. The group allegedly shouted, created a disturbance, and claimed ownership of the property occupied by the victim.

The victim further alleged that the group damaged the villa’s entrance door and front gate during the confrontation.

ED stated that he is the lawful occupant of the property and had previously paid Rp1.95 billion (approximately US$120,000) to a woman identified as Ita Sapari in connection with the villa.

As a result of the incident, the victim and his family said they felt threatened, traumatized, and fearful for their safety. They subsequently reported the matter to South Kuta Police for further legal action.

Police records indicate that one villa gate and one traditional Balinese-style wooden door (gebyok) sustained damage during the incident.

The report has been officially received by South Kuta Police and the case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of South Kuta Police.

A spokesperson from Denpasar Police Public Relations confirmed that authorities are handling the case and continue to gather evidence and witness statements to determine the full circumstances surrounding the alleged vandalism.
