BALINEWSID.COM, KUPANG– The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration (Ditjen Imigrasi) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) held an oath-taking and inauguration ceremony for structural and functional officials on Tuesday (July 28, 2026), with Regional Immigration Chief Saroha Manullang stressing the importance of integrity, professionalism and innovation.

The ceremony was held at the NTT Immigration Regional Office Hall and was attended by the Head of the Law Enforcement and Internal Compliance Division of the NTT Directorate General of Immigration Regional Office, the Head of the Kupang Class I Immigration Office, the Head of the Kupang Immigration Detention Center, structural and functional officials from Immigration Technical Implementation Units, and staff of the NTT Immigration Regional Office.

The appointments were based on Ministerial Decree No. SEK-98.SA.03.04 of 2024 concerning the first appointment to the Computer Systems Officer Functional Position within the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections.

The inauguration also referred to the Decree of the Head of the NTT Directorate General of Immigration Regional Office No. WIM.22.2231.SA.04.01 of 2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of officials to the fifth-echelon structural positions.

In addition, officials serving as Policy Analysts and Computer Systems Officers were inaugurated based on a ministerial decision issued on July 8, 2026.

In his remarks, Saroha called on the newly appointed officials to carry out their duties professionally and productively while providing fast, accurate and transparent public services.

“You are the main driving force of the organization. Challenge yourselves to work quickly, accurately and transparently in providing services to the public,” Saroha said.

He also reminded the officials to uphold ethics and integrity and avoid any form of misconduct that could damage the institution’s reputation.

“Avoid any form of misconduct that could damage the institution’s image. Build strong internal and external cooperation to ensure the smooth implementation of your duties,” he said.

Saroha also highlighted the geographical challenges facing NTT, which consists of 1,192 islands and shares international borders with Timor-Leste and Australia.

“With only 416 employees, we must work harder and collaborate. There is no room for sluggishness,” he stressed.

He further urged the newly appointed officials to become sources of positive energy and innovation within the organization.

“Be part of the solution, not the problem. Every achievement and contribution you make should leave a positive record and create a significant impact for the institution in the future,” Saroha said.

The ceremony concluded with a prayer and a group photograph. The newly appointed officials are expected to carry out their responsibilities to the best of their ability amid increasingly complex immigration duties and challenges.
