ASITA Bali Sets ASITA Jatiluwih Fun Run 2026, Celebrating 100 Years of Bali’s Tourism

DENPASAR, BALINEWSID.COM – The world-famous green terraced landscape of Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is set to become the stage for another international tourism event. The Jatiluwih ASITA Fun Run is scheduled to take place on June 21, 2026, as part of a series of celebrations leading up to the 100th anniversary of Bali tourism in 2027.

The plan was announced by the Chairman of ASITA Bali, I Putu Winastra, during a meeting held at the BTB Room in Denpasar on Friday (Feb 20, 2026).

“This event is not only about recreational sports, but also a symbol of collaboration between tourism industry players, government, and all stakeholders in celebrating the long journey of Bali’s tourism sector since 1927,” Winastra said.

The fun run, which will be held at one of Bali’s premier tourist destinations, will involve cooperation with the Pemerintah Provinsi Bali and the Pemerintah Kabupaten Tabanan. This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen Bali’s promotion as a world-class destination rooted in local culture and environmental sustainability.

“Jatiluwih ASITA Run is part of the roadmap toward 100 years of Bali tourism in 2027. This momentum must be echoed together by tourism businesses, stakeholders, and the government,” he added.

Jatiluwih was chosen as the venue because it represents the philosophy of harmony between humans, nature, and culture, values that have long been the core strength of Bali’s global tourism appeal.

Beyond offering a unique sport tourism experience, the event is also expected to foster stronger unity among tourism stakeholders in maintaining Bali’s sustainability.

Through collaborative events such as the Jatiluwih ASITA Fun Run, the spirit of welcoming a century of Bali tourism continues to grow, while reinforcing the island’s competitiveness as a sustainable and globally recognized destination in the future. (*)
