BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG – Badung Police have uncovered an alleged premeditated murder case that claimed the life of a 25-year-old man identified by the initials D.A.D. in Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali. Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the case, including two minors.
The case was registered under police report Number: LP/B/14/V/2026/SPKT/Sek Abiansemal/Polres Badung/Polda Bali dated May 14, 2026, regarding a murder investigation.
The victim was a resident of Suketeng Village, Sumbawa District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The murder took place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at around 2:40 a.m. local time at Mae Wash motorcycle washing facility on Jalan Antasura, Banjar Cabe, Darmasaba Village, Abiansemal, Badung.
The victim’s body was discovered five days later, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. in a rice field area located not far from the crime scene.
Badung Police Chief AKBP Joseph Edward Purba stated that the four suspects arrested were identified as D.F. (20), M.K.H. (24), and two teenagers identified by the initials A.F.P. (17) and I.P.R. (16).

“The suspects had planned the murder before carrying out the execution,” the police chief said during a press conference at Badung Police Headquarters on Wednesday (May 20, 2026).
According to investigators, the motive behind the murder was allegedly driven by resentment. One of the suspects, D.F., admitted he often became the victim of bullying by the deceased while they worked together.
Police also revealed that the suspects intended to take possession of the victim’s valuables, including money, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone, to later sell and divide the proceeds among themselves.
The incident began when the victim contacted D.F. via WhatsApp to pick up an air compressor on the night of the incident. At that time, D.F. was gathering with several friends at a boarding house.
After receiving the message, D.F. allegedly invited the others to execute the victim and rob him. The plan was agreed upon by all suspects.
At around 1:15 a.m., the suspects arrived at Mae Wash and took a knife commonly used for cutting foam. The knife was tucked into a waistband while they waited for the victim’s arrival.
Approximately an hour later, the victim arrived riding a red Honda Beat motorcycle. After entering the washing facility, the victim reportedly turned off the CCTV camera and headed toward the compressor area.
While the victim was bending down to pick up the compressor, one of the suspects struck him on the head with an empty bottle, causing him to collapse. The suspects then jointly assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him. They also used an iron chair during the attack.
D.F. allegedly stabbed the victim in the back with the knife, causing severe injuries and heavy bleeding. After the victim became helpless, the suspects cleaned the bloodstains from the floor and straightened the knife, which had bent during the stabbing.
To ensure the victim had died, the suspects then slit the victim’s throat.
After confirming the victim’s death, the suspects searched for a burial site using the victim’s motorcycle while carrying a hoe. They dug a hole in an empty roadside area.
The victim’s body was placed inside a sack before being transported by motorcycle to the burial location. The suspects then buried the body together in the rice field area.
During the investigation, police questioned 11 witnesses consisting of three women and eight men.
Police also seized several pieces of evidence, including a wooden-handled hoe, a black sling bag, a black jacket, gray shorts, two Honda motorcycles, a damaged iron chair, and a Redmi 8A mobile phone.
The suspects have been charged under Article 459 in conjunction with Article 20 of the Indonesian Criminal Code on premeditated murder, carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
They were also charged under Article 479 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code concerning theft resulting in death, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years imprisonment.
