BALINEWSID.COM, JAKARTA — Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) Chairman Yudhistira has sent a legal notice to PT Indah Logistik, also known as Indah Logistik Cargo, over an alleged personal data leak that his legal team says led to a scam and financial losses.

The legal notice was filed on Monday, September 14, 2026, by Yudhistira’s legal team, comprising La Isarmono, SH, CTT, Muh Nur Latif, SH, Efggo Sanata, SH, Misbah, SH, and Anwari, SH.

The case reportedly began when Yudhistira planned to send goods from Banda Aceh to Medan. According to his lawyers, personal information contained in the shipping documents was allegedly leaked and subsequently used by individuals posing as representatives of Indah Logistik.

La Isarmono, head of the legal team, confirmed that the legal notice had been addressed to PT Indah Logistik’s headquarters in Jakarta and its Banda Aceh branch.

“The crucial issue is the alleged data leak, which has caused significant harm to consumers using the company’s delivery services due to what we believe was inadequate data security,” Isarmono said at a press conference in Kalibata, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 16.

Isarmono said the alleged leak could create opportunities for data theft and other criminal activities, potentially putting other customers at risk.

He alleged that the company had failed to adequately protect customers’ personal information and prevent unauthorized access.

The legal team cited several provisions they said were relevant to the case, including Article 39(1) and Article 46(1) of Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, or the PDP Law.

The lawyers also referred to Article 4(a) and Article 19(1) of Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, as well as Article 1365 of the Indonesian Civil Code concerning unlawful acts and liability for losses caused by wrongdoing or negligence.

The legal team further cited Article 65(2) in conjunction with Article 67(2) of the PDP Law, which contains criminal provisions concerning the unlawful acquisition or collection of personal data belonging to another person.

Isarmono said the legal team was still giving Indah Logistik an opportunity to respond to the allegations and open communication with Yudhistira.

“We are waiting for good faith from PT Indah Logistik and Indah Logistik Cargo Banda Aceh. If there is no response within the period specified in the legal notice, we will take further legal action,” he said.

He added that the case should serve as a reminder to logistics companies and consumers about the importance of protecting personal data and ensuring the security of customer information.

The allegations made by Yudhistira and his legal team have not been established by a court as a final legal finding.
