BALINEWSID.COM, ATAMBUA — The Atambua Class II Immigration Office deported five Chinese nationals on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after authorities determined that their activities were potentially harmful to national security and public order.

The five individuals, identified by their initials as LH, 49; LJ, 54; WY, 59; XC, 41; and ZJ, 50, were deported through the Immigration Checkpoint at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang.

The deportation followed an immigration investigation and examination documented in official investigation reports. Authorities concluded that the five foreigners had engaged in activities deemed dangerous and potentially detrimental to public security and order. They were also considered to have failed to comply with Indonesian laws and regulations.

The immigration authorities had escorted the five Chinese nationals from Atambua to Kupang before flying them to Jakarta for their deportation. The escort and deportation process was carried out under close supervision and proceeded safely and without significant problems.

The Atambua Immigration Office imposed Administrative Immigration Measures, including deportation and a ban preventing the five individuals from re-entering Indonesia.

The measures were taken pursuant to Article 75 paragraphs (1) and (2) of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration, which authorizes immigration officials to take action against foreign nationals whose activities are considered dangerous or likely to threaten security and public order.

The Atambua Immigration Office also coordinated with the airline and immigration authorities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to ensure that the deportation process was carried out in an orderly and secure manner.

The office said it would continue strengthening immigration supervision and taking firm action against foreign nationals who violate Indonesian immigration regulations or engage in activities that could disrupt public security and order.
