PGR Bali Firmly Rejects Identity Politics, Commits to Safeguarding Unity and Local Wisdom

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The Regional Executive Board of the People’s Movement Party (PGR) Bali Province has reaffirmed its commitment to carrying out political activities based on the ideology of Pancasila, while maintaining national unity and respecting the local wisdom and cultural values of the Balinese people.

Chairman of PGR Bali, I Gede Oka Suanda Yudara, stated that the party was established with the spirit of nationalism, inclusiveness, and openness in promoting a healthy and constructive democracy.

“The People’s Movement Party in Bali is committed to becoming a political platform that upholds the values of Pancasila, safeguards national unity, and respects the culture and local wisdom of the Balinese community as part of the nation’s identity,” said Oka Suanda Yudara.

He explained that PGR Bali is currently focusing on internal organizational consolidation, particularly the establishment of party structures down to the sub-district level across Bali. The effort is part of strengthening the party’s institutional framework in preparation for future national political agendas.

In addition, PGR Bali firmly rejected all forms of identity politics, intolerance, and divisive narratives that could threaten social harmony.

“PGR is a nationalist party that is open to all elements of society regardless of ethnicity, religion, race, or social background. We want to promote a political climate that is peaceful, inclusive, and constructive,” he emphasized.

PGR Bali is also planning to hold an official declaration once the party’s national legal process is completed. The declaration is expected to serve as a momentum to introduce the organization more broadly to the people of Bali.

Through organizational strengthening and an inclusive political approach, PGR Bali hopes to become a healthy and constructive platform for political participation that prioritizes the interests of both the nation and the region.
