BALINEWSID.COM, TABANAN — The Tabanan Class III Non-TPI Immigration Office has transferred a Ugandan woman identified by the initials KJ to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) for further processing after she was detained following a report that she had allegedly entered a resident’s home in Kediri, Tabanan.

The incident began with a public report submitted through the Indonesian National Police’s Call Center 110 at 11:49 p.m. local time on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Acting on the report, Tabanan Police officers led by the duty officer went to Banjar Lengudu, Pangkung Tibah Village, Kediri District, to check the situation.

At the location, officers found KJ, a foreign national, in the vicinity of a resident’s home. She was subsequently secured by the local Pecalang, Bali’s traditional community security personnel, before being taken to the Tabanan Police headquarters.

As KJ is a foreign national, Tabanan Police coordinated with the Tabanan Immigration Office for further examination.

The Head of the Immigration Technology, Intelligence and Enforcement Subsection, accompanied by intelligence and enforcement officers, went to the Tabanan Police headquarters to coordinate and examine KJ’s immigration status and documents.

During the examination, KJ was unable to present a travel document or provide verifiable information regarding her place of residence.

Initial assessment also found KJ to be in a confused state. Based on information obtained by authorities, her condition was reportedly related to psychological pressure stemming from personal relationship problems.

Tabanan Police subsequently submitted a recommendation for deportation to the Tabanan Immigration Office as a follow-up to the public report concerning alleged conduct that had disturbed public security and order.

Following the coordination and immigration examination, the Tabanan Immigration Office transferred KJ to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center on Wednesday, September 9, for detention and further processing in accordance with Indonesian immigration regulations.

At around 11 a.m. local time that day, Tabanan Immigration intelligence and enforcement officers arrived at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center and formally handed KJ over for detention and administrative processing.

The Tabanan Immigration Office said it would continue to strengthen supervision of foreign nationals and their activities throughout its jurisdiction.

The case also highlights coordination among immigration authorities, the police, Pecalang and other relevant institutions in maintaining public security and order while ensuring that immigration procedures are carried out professionally and in accordance with applicable laws.
