BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — Bali police are investigating an alleged fraud and embezzlement case involving gold investment companies PT Divine and Emas Now, with hundreds of people reportedly filing complaints and losses estimated at tens of billions of rupiah.

Bali Police Public Relations Chief, Commissioner Ariasandy, S.I.K. Said investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate had searched a facility believed to be linked to the reported offenses and seized documents, gold-processing equipment and other items considered relevant to the investigation.

The search was conducted on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at a gold-processing warehouse on Jalan Tukad Badung in Renon, Denpasar.

The operation was led by First Subdirectorate Chief Commissioner Hemry Ferian and involved investigators and identification officers from the Bali Police Criminal Investigation Directorate. Local community officials and a commissioner of PT Divine and Emas Now accompanied the search.

Police seized a number of items, including an electric PON machine, polishing machine, blender, manual PON machine, manual chain-making equipment, three gold molds and four nitrogen gas cylinders.

Investigators also secured equipment and materials from the polishing and jewelry-making areas, as well as an MSI laptop, an LG computer, an HP printer, a CCTV server, a bundle of documents, two attendance books and records of incoming and outgoing goods.

Ariasandy said investigators were particularly examining transaction and sales documents, along with gold-processing equipment and other items suspected of being connected to the case.

“Several items included sales and purchase transaction documents, gold-melting equipment, a safe and other items that we strongly suspect are related to the case currently under investigation,” Ariasandy said.

Police said they have received eight police reports related to the case. One report has been upgraded to the investigation stage, while the other seven remain under preliminary investigation.

Dozens of witnesses have been questioned, including people who allegedly have knowledge of the reported activities and individuals who claim to have suffered losses.

Police said the number of people who have reported the case has reached the hundreds, although an exact figure has not yet been disclosed. Total losses are currently estimated at more than Rp10 billion.

The police are also working with relevant authorities to determine the whereabouts of individuals reported in connection with the case.

Ariasandy stressed that those being investigated have not been named suspects at this stage.

“They are still only suspected parties. We need a more thorough examination. Since this is still at the preliminary investigation stage, they have not been named suspects,” he said.

Investigators will next conduct a deeper examination of the seized evidence, trace the bank accounts and financial flows of PT Divine and Emas Now, and question additional alleged victims.

Police also plan to search and seize evidence from the rented house of J.K.R., identified as the director of PT Divine and Emas Now.

According to statements from people living near the facility, the gold-processing warehouse had been empty and had not been operating since around September 6, 2026.

The Bali Police said the investigation remains ongoing and that all seized items will undergo further examination to establish the facts and determine their relevance to the alleged fraud and embezzlement case.
