BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG — The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has deported BR, a Lithuanian national born in Israel, after authorities found that he had misused his immigration permit to work as a paid content creator and conduct digital marketing activities in Bali.

BR was allegedly linked to the Instagram account @the.bali.dream, which promoted travel planning, honeymoon packages, and visa assistance for Israeli passport holders.

The immigration action followed information circulating widely on social media, particularly an Instagram post from @aelexav, which alleged the involvement of two former Israeli military personnel in managing a travel agency in Bali.

The Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Team of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office subsequently conducted verification and further checks of immigration records. Using the Face Recognition Identification System, authorities identified the two individuals mentioned in the social media post as SG, 30, and AC, 28. Both hold German passports and were born in Israel.

“We followed up on the information circulating by conducting verification and further investigation based on the immigration data available to us. Any information concerning foreign nationals whose activities could potentially disrupt public security and order will be followed up in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Head Muhamad Novyandri said on Friday (August 14, 2026).

According to immigration movement records, SG and AC had already left Indonesia on August 11, 2025.

The investigation then focused on The Bali Dream, a travel service offering trip planning, honeymoon arrangements, and visa assistance for Israeli passport holders. Immigration authorities found that the website thebalidream.com and the business WhatsApp number were associated with BR.

Immigration records show that BR entered Indonesia on May 7, 2026, using a Business Visit Visa. Further investigation, however, found that he had used the visa to work as a paid content creator and carry out digital marketing activities.

As a result of the violation, BR was subjected to administrative immigration action in the form of deportation. He was also placed on Indonesia’s immigration blacklist for five years starting August 13, 2026, with the possibility of an extension in accordance with applicable regulations.

BR was deported from Indonesia on Thai Airways flight TG32 from Denpasar to Bangkok, before continuing his journey to Frankfurt and Vilnius.

Despite the investigation, Ngurah Rai Immigration said it had not found any physical office or business premises belonging to The Bali Dream in Indonesia.

Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said his office would continue strengthening oversight of foreign nationals to ensure that Bali remains a safe, comfortable and orderly tourism destination.

“We want to ensure that Bali remains a safe, comfortable and conducive tourism destination. Foreign nationals who come to Indonesia are certainly welcomed, but every foreign national is also required to respect the laws and regulations in force,” Hendarsam said.

He emphasized that immigration supervision and enforcement are aimed at protecting Indonesia’s national interests while ensuring that foreign nationals comply with the country’s legal requirements.

The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office said it would continue monitoring foreign nationals’ activities in Bali and take enforcement measures against immigration violations in accordance with Indonesian law.
