BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — The Bali chapter of the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) is finalizing preparations for its 15th Regional Conference, or Musyawarah Daerah (Musda), scheduled to take place on October 16, 2026.

Preparations for the conference were discussed during a meeting between the ASITA Bali board and Bali Governor Wayan Koster on Wednesday, September 23.

ASITA Bali Chairman I Putu Winastra, S.AB., M.A.P., accompanied by the conference organizing committee and members of the organization, met with Koster to present plans for the event and seek his availability to attend and officially open the conference.

The meeting also included a presentation by the conference committee chair, IG. Ayu Kade Purnamawati, S.E., who outlined several programs and the main theme that will be discussed during the 15th regional conference.

The ASITA Bali delegation expressed its hope that Governor Koster would attend the main event, deliver guidance to the organization and provide direction on programs related to the development of Bali’s tourism industry.

Koster welcomed the planned conference and said he was prepared to attend, provided that no other official agenda prevents him from doing so.

The governor also expressed his appreciation for ASITA Bali’s contribution to the development of Bali’s tourism sector and its cooperation with the provincial government.

The 15th ASITA Bali Regional Conference is expected to serve as an opportunity to strengthen the organization and deepen cooperation between travel industry stakeholders and the government as Bali’s tourism sector continues to evolve.

The conference will also provide a forum for ASITA Bali members to discuss organizational programs and strategies for responding to changes and challenges facing the tourism and travel industry.
