Immigration Office and Prosecutors Office Strengthen Legal Cooperation in Denpasar

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The Class I Immigration Office with Special Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Denpasar has officially established a cooperation agreement with the Denpasar District Attorney’s Office to strengthen immigration law enforcement involving both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals.

The cooperation was formalized through the signing of a Joint Cooperation Agreement (PKS) covering criminal law, civil law, and state administrative law matters.

The agreement was signed directly by Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, R. Haryo Sakti, and Head of the Denpasar District Attorney’s Office, Trimo. The signing ceremony was also attended by structural officials from both institutions.

Under the agreement, both parties will coordinate on immigration investigations, handling of civil and administrative legal matters, technical guidance programs, and dissemination of legal regulations related to immigration affairs.

The cooperation also includes the establishment of a joint communication forum aimed at strengthening coordination, information exchange, policy discussions, and special communication in the field of immigration intelligence.

The agreement is considered an important response to increasingly complex immigration issues involving Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreign nationals (WNA), particularly in the Denpasar area.

Trimo stated that the Denpasar District Attorney’s Office is fully prepared to support the Immigration Office, especially through the role of State Attorneys, to ensure immigration duties are carried out effectively and protected from potential legal disputes.

Meanwhile, R. Haryo Sakti emphasized that the cooperation is part of the implementation of the Director General of Immigration’s daily directive number three regarding strengthened supervision and law enforcement synergy.

“This cooperation is expected to make inter-agency coordination more effective, transparent, and beneficial for the public,” he said.
