Denpasar Proposes 6.12 Percent Increase in 2026 City Minimum Wage for Workers

DENPASAR, BALINEWS.ID – The Denpasar City Government has officially proposed a 6.12 percent increase in the City Minimum Wage (UMK) for 2026. If approved, the UMK will rise from Rp3,298,116.50 in 2025 to Rp3,499,878.78, or close to Rp3.5 million.

The proposal was announced through the official Instagram account of the Denpasar Manpower Office (Disnaker) @disnaker.denpasar. In the post, it was stated that Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara has submitted the proposed 2026 UMK to Bali Governor Wayan Koster. The final determination is scheduled to be issued by the Bali Provincial Government on December 24, 2025.

According to Disnaker Denpasar, the minimum wage applies to workers with a length of service of less than one year. Meanwhile, employees who have worked for one year or more are subject to wages based on the company’s wage structure and scale.

Previously, the Bali Provincial Government also announced an increase in the 2026 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) by 6.67 percent, bringing it to Rp3,196,430, as reported by Bali Express on Thursday (December 20, 2025). (*)
