BALINEWSID.COM, JAKARTA — Two strategic positions within Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration in Bali have undergone a leadership change, with new officials appointed to head the Bali Regional Immigration Office and the Immigration Office at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The reshuffle is based on a decision by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, effective August 10, 2026. The changes are stipulated in Directorate General of Immigration Letter No. IMI.1-SA.04.01-950, dated August 10, 2026, concerning the dismissal and appointment of senior high-ranking and administrative officials.
Under the decision, Ramdhani, A.Md.Im., S.H., M.Si. has been appointed Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration in Bali. Previously, Ramdhani served as Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration.
His former position in North Sulawesi will be taken over by I Gusti Bagus Mochammad Ibrahiem S., A.Md.Im., S.IP., M.Si., who previously served as Head of the Immigration Supervision and Enforcement Division at the Jakarta Special Region Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration.
Meanwhile, Felucia Sengky Ratna, who previously headed the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, was relieved of her managerial position. She has subsequently been assigned as a Senior Immigration Analyst at the Directorate General of Immigration.
A leadership change has also taken place at the Class I Special Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai. Bugie Kurniawan was relieved of his position as head of the office and reassigned as a Senior Immigration Analyst at the Directorate General of Immigration.
His position will be filled by Muhamad Novyandri, A.Md.Im., S.H., M.H., who previously served as Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Bandung.
The leadership reshuffle has drawn attention because the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office plays a crucial role in monitoring the movement of foreign nationals entering and leaving Bali. I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is one of Indonesia’s main gateways for international tourists visiting the island.
Meanwhile, the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration has a key role in coordinating immigration policies, public services, supervision and law enforcement across the province.
The office also faces growing challenges amid high international mobility and the increasing number of foreign nationals staying and conducting activities in Bali.
Ferry Tri Ardhiansyah, Head of Public Relations, Information Technology and Immigration Communications at the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, confirmed the leadership changes.
“That is correct. There will be an inauguration related to the appointments tomorrow,” Ferry said when contacted on Wednesday (August 11).
According to the Directorate General of Immigration letter, the inauguration of the officials listed in the decision will be held at the Directorate General of Immigration headquarters. Meanwhile, the handover ceremony for administrative officials will take place within their respective areas of assignment.
With the appointment of Ramdhani and Novyandri, two key immigration posts in Bali will now operate under new leadership.
Their immediate challenges include maintaining smooth international border crossings, strengthening supervision of foreign nationals, enforcing immigration regulations and ensuring that immigration services remain effective amid Bali’s high volume of international travel.
The reshuffle comes at a critical time for Bali, where immigration authorities are under increasing pressure to balance the island’s position as a major international tourism destination with tighter oversight of foreign nationals and cross-border movement.
