DENPASAR, BALINEWS.ID — Perum BULOG’s Bali Regional Office has begun distributing food assistance for the July-September 2026 allocation to beneficiaries across several regencies and municipalities in Bali, August 31, 2026.

The program will reach 302,397 Food Assistance Beneficiaries (PBP), with a total of 9,071,910 kilograms, or approximately 9,071 tons, of rice being distributed.

Each beneficiary is entitled to 10 kilograms of rice for each monthly allocation. As a result, beneficiaries will receive a total of 30 kilograms of rice for the July, August, and September 2026 allocations.

As of Monday (August 31), the distribution has been carried out in Buleleng, Jembrana, Karangasem, Tabanan, Bangli, and Klungkung regencies, as well as Denpasar City.

The distribution will continue gradually in Gianyar and Badung regencies according to the schedule and procedures that have been established.

During the distribution process, BULOG’s Bali Regional Office is coordinating with local governments, the Food Security Agency, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the assistance is delivered smoothly, accurately targeted, and on schedule.

BULOG and the Food Security Agency are also conducting quality inspections of the rice before it is distributed to beneficiaries. The inspections are aimed at ensuring that the rice is in good condition and meets the required quality standards.

Head of BULOG’s Bali Regional Office Simon Melkisedek Lakapu said the quality inspections were part of BULOG’s responsibility and commitment to ensuring that the food aid provided to the public meets proper quality standards.

“We are ensuring that the food aid rice distributed to the public is in good condition and meets quality standards. Together with the Food Security Agency, we are conducting inspections as part of our commitment to providing the best possible service and ensuring that the assistance is received by the public in proper condition,” Simon said.

The food assistance program is expected to help maintain people’s purchasing power while strengthening food security in Bali.

BULOG’s Bali Regional Office said it would continue to ensure the availability and quality of food supplies while supporting the smooth implementation of government assistance programs for communities across the province.
