BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The Bali Regional Police Polda Bali destroyed narcotics worth Rp19.9 billion using a blender method as part of a transparency-driven law enforcement effort against drug crimes in Bali.
The destruction was carried out on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the yard of the Bali Police Headquarters Mapolda Bali.
The narcotics were seized from a series of drug cases and included 2,288.67 grams of methamphetamine, 500 ecstasy pills, 925 mephedrone pills, 2,047.95 grams of cocaine, 24.37 grams of marijuana, 0.75 grams of hashish, 23.71 grams of THC, 0.9 grams of psilocin, and 9.44 grams of amphetamine.
Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya said the destruction reflects accountability and the institution’s strong commitment to eradicating narcotics in the region.
“Bali is not a safe place for drug users or dealers. We will continue to strengthen cooperation in fighting illicit drug networks down to their roots,” he stated.
Apart from the destruction of evidence, Polda Bali also announced the results of Operation Antik Agung 2026, conducted from May 13 to May 28, 2026. During the operation, police uncovered 111 drug-related cases and arrested 138 suspects.
Of the total cases, 74 were classified as target operations and 37 as non-target cases. Authorities also seized narcotics with an estimated economic value of Rp13.15 billion.
The seized drugs included 6,217.22 grams of methamphetamine, 2,123.41 grams of marijuana, 584 ecstasy pills, 937 mephedrone pills, 53.46 grams of synthetic cannabis, 1,282 pills of illegal medication, and 23.5 grams of cocaine.
Police estimated that approximately 40,846 people were saved from potential drug abuse due to the enforcement operation.
Daniel said the suspects used various methods, including direct sales, intermediaries, and international smuggling networks. In one case, mephedrone was smuggled from abroad via air routes.
“The main motive behind these crimes is rapid financial gain,” he added.
The suspects are charged under Indonesia’s Narcotics Law No. 35 of 2009 and the 2023 Criminal Code, facing life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years in prison, along with fines of up to Rp2 billion.
