BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — The Denpasar Class I Immigration Office with TPI has intensified supervision of foreign nationals staying in Bali, detaining three Ghanaian citizens during an immigration patrol operation dubbed Dharma Dewata in South Denpasar on Thursday (April 23, 2026).
The enforcement action was carried out by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Unit (Inteldakim) of Denpasar in coordination with the Inteldakim team from Singaraja after receiving intelligence reports regarding a lodging house in the Pemogan area allegedly occupied by several foreign nationals.
Following up on the information, officers visited Cahaya Green Bali accommodation at around 4 p.m. local time. Before conducting inspections, the team first coordinated with the management of the property.

During the inspection, officers found three Ghanaian men identified by their initials SKY (46), ENA (44), and IA (49). Authorities said the three entered Indonesia through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in late 2025.
Initial checks showed that all three held limited stay permits (ITAS) under investor status. However, immigration officers discovered several irregularities that raised suspicions of possible immigration violations.
ENA and IA were unable to present their original passports when requested by officers. Meanwhile, SKY reportedly failed to provide a clear explanation regarding the company sponsoring his investor permit.
Due to the suspected violations of Indonesia’s Immigration Law, the three men were immediately secured and taken to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further questioning.
Head of Denpasar Immigration Office R. Haryo Sakti said supervision of foreign nationals would continue to be strengthened to maintain public order and ensure that foreigners living in Bali make positive contributions.
“This supervision is carried out to maintain order and to ensure the presence of foreign nationals contributes positively to Bali,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration Felucia Sengky Ratna said the operation reflected strong coordination among immigration offices in enforcing immigration regulations.
She added that firm action is necessary to ensure all foreign nationals comply with prevailing laws while maintaining a sense of security among the Balinese community.
