BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG – The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Indonesia’s National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has uncovered an ecstasy distribution network operating inside the nightlife venue N CO Living by NIX in Kerobokan, North Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali. Three suspects have been arrested for their alleged roles in the structured drug trafficking operation.
The case stems from Intelligence Report Number LI/119/III/2026 dated March 20, 2026, followed by an investigation warrant issued on March 27, 2026. A joint team from Sub-Directorate IV of Bareskrim’s Narcotics Directorate and the NIC Task Force conducted an intensive investigation before carrying out raids in the early hours of Thursday (April 2, 2026).
Authorities made arrests at three separate locations. In Room 303, police apprehended Ngakan Gede Rupawan, identified as a dealer. Officers seized 10 pink ecstasy pills and Rp10 million (approximately USD 600) in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.

Further development led officers to Room 301, where additional evidence was found, including various types of ecstasy and ketamine. Police also arrested Beril Cholif Arrohman, who allegedly acted as an intermediary between dealers and customers, and also served as a captain at the venue.
In a separate location in the Kesambi area, authorities arrested Steve Wibisono, the manager of N CO Living by NIX. Preliminary findings suggest he was aware of and allowed narcotics distribution activities within the establishment he managed.
Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, stated that the drug distribution at the venue was carried out systematically by exploiting the nightclub as a distribution point for visitors.
“Investigations revealed clearly defined roles among the perpetrators, ranging from dealers and intermediaries to members of the management who were allegedly aware of the activities,” he said.
During the operation, officers also secured 14 visitors present at the venue. Urine tests showed all tested positive for narcotics use. They have since been handed over to the Bali Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP Bali) for further assessment to determine whether they are solely users or linked to the broader network.
Police also found that the narcotics distribution had been ongoing since 2025, operating in an organized manner. The suspects allegedly profited from the sale of ecstasy and ketamine, with indications that proceeds were distributed among individuals within the operation.
Bareskrim Polri has sealed off the location, conducted a reconstruction of the case, and is continuing to gather additional evidence, including CCTV installations at several points to support the investigation.
All suspects and evidence have been transferred to the Bareskrim Narcotics Directorate headquarters for further questioning. Authorities are also exploring the possibility of additional suspects and tracing financial flows that may be linked to money laundering offenses.
This case adds to the growing list of narcotics networks uncovered in Bali’s nightlife scene and serves as a strong warning to business operators not to misuse their permits for illegal activities.
