BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – Bali Governor Wayan Koster expressed hope that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will attend and officially open the 48th Bali Arts Festival (PKB), scheduled to take place on June 13, 2026.
Koster conveyed the expectation while delivering remarks during the 48th PKB Plenary Meeting at Wiswa Sabha Utama Building, Bali Governor’s Office Complex, Denpasar, on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
During his speech, Koster revealed that he had received a phone call from Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan regarding President Prabowo’s planned visit to Bali in connection with preparations for Bali as a Global Financial Hub.

“If he eventually visits Bali and we can synchronize the schedule, hopefully on June 13 he can also officially open the Bali Arts Festival,” Koster said.
The governor, who hails from Sembiran Village in Buleleng Regency, instructed all related parties to prepare for the possibility of President Prabowo attending the opening ceremony of Bali’s largest annual arts and cultural event.
“If the President is unable to attend personally, he may assign one of his ministers to attend. We are ready. Whoever is appointed by the President to open the Bali Arts Festival, we are fully prepared,” he added.
Koster also stated that he had assigned Bali Provincial Culture Agency Head Ida Bagus Alit Surya to travel to Jakarta to deliver an official invitation to President Prabowo to attend and open the 48th PKB.
“We sincerely hope that the President can attend and officially open the Bali Arts Festival,” Koster said.
The Bali Arts Festival is the island’s largest annual cultural event, regularly featuring traditional art performances, cultural exhibitions, and participation from artists representing regencies and cities across Bali.
