BALINEWSID.COM, BULELENG – Indonesia’s State Logistics Agency, Perum BULOG, has ensured that food security in Bali remains stable ahead of the upcoming national religious holidays of Eid al-Adha and Galungan.
To ensure food readiness, Perum BULOG Finance Director Hendra Susanto conducted an inspection visit to the Tangguwisia Warehouse Complex in Buleleng Regency, Bali, on May 21, 2026.
The visit aimed to directly monitor the condition of Government Rice Reserves (CBP), storage quality, and food distribution readiness in maintaining food supply and price stability across Bali ahead of the major religious celebrations.
During the inspection, Hendra Susanto was accompanied by the Head of BULOG Bali Regional Office and management staff. The review covered warehouse capacity, rice storage conditions, and operational readiness for food distribution to the public.
Hendra Susanto stated that Bali’s rice stock remains secure and sufficient to meet public demand for the next five months.
“Perum BULOG continues to ensure that food availability remains safe and well maintained, especially ahead of Eid al-Adha and Galungan. Based on today’s inspection, rice stocks in Bali are sufficient and secure for approximately the next five months,” Hendra Susanto said.
Nationally, Government Rice Reserve stocks stored in BULOG warehouses have reached the highest level in history. Data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) recorded CBP stocks at 5.37 million tons as of May 18, 2026.
Meanwhile, as of May 21, 2026, Government Rice Reserve stocks stored in all BULOG Bali Regional Office warehouses totaled 10,739 tons, while the Tangguwisia Warehouse Complex alone held 442 tons of rice reserves.
In addition to ensuring stock sufficiency, BULOG also continues to maintain rice quality through optimal warehouse management and strict supervision to ensure the public receives quality food supplies.
The Head of BULOG Bali Regional Office added that BULOG remains committed to maintaining food supply and price stability through targeted distribution and active coordination with local governments and relevant stakeholders.
The inspection visit forms part of BULOG’s commitment to supporting the national food security program and providing assurance to the public regarding the availability of staple food supplies ahead of Eid al-Adha and Galungan.
