BULOG Bali Secures Rice Stocks for Up to 10 Months

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office is strengthening the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) by optimizing the procurement of paddy and rice from local farmers to ensure food security and maintain rice availability across Bali.

As of July 30, 2026, BULOG Bali recorded rice-equivalent procurement of 6,312.1 tons, reaching 166.7 percent of its procurement target of 3,786 tons.

The achievement reflects BULOG’s efforts to absorb local farmers’ harvests while simultaneously strengthening the Government Rice Reserve in Bali.

In addition to ongoing procurement, rice stocks at BULOG Bali’s warehouses remain at a secure level. As of July 30, operational rice stocks stood at 12,325 tons, with supplies estimated to be sufficient to meet demand for up to 10 months.

The government rice reserve will be used to support several government programs, including the distribution of Food Assistance for the July–September 2026 allocation to eligible beneficiaries.

The stock will also support the distribution of Rice for Supply and Food Price Stabilization (SPHP), aimed at maintaining rice availability and helping stabilize prices in the market.

BULOG Bali said the strengthening of rice reserves is not only aimed at ensuring food availability but also at supporting local farmers through continuous absorption of their harvests.

The agency will continue to coordinate with the Bali provincial government, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the National Police (Polri), business partners, and other stakeholders to strengthen food security across the province.

With procurement already exceeding its target and stocks considered sufficient for up to 10 months, BULOG Bali has assured the public that rice supplies will remain adequate, safe, and affordable.
