BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR, – State-owned food logistics agency Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office has confirmed that the distribution of Minyakita cooking oil across Bali remains stable and continues through official distribution channels, while ensuring the product is sold in accordance with the government’s Highest Retail Price (HET).
The assurance was delivered following a monitoring and evaluation visit conducted at Pasar Nyanggelan in Denpasar City, involving BULOG, the Food Task Force, and relevant stakeholders.
BULOG Bali Regional Head, Simon Melkisedek Lakapu, said the agency remains committed to maintaining the availability and affordability of Minyakita for the public.
“Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office is committed to ensuring a sufficient supply of Minyakita for the people of Bali. We have distributed the product extensively through SP2KP traditional markets, Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) outlets, and BULOG’s partner network. We also ensure that all official BULOG partners sell Minyakita in accordance with the government-established HET,” he said.
According to BULOG Bali, a total of 786,958 liters of Minyakita has been distributed across the province from January 2026 to the present. The cooking oil is supplied by BULOG to its partners at Rp14,500 liter, while the maximum retail price for consumers is set at Rp15,700 liter, in line with government regulations.
Distribution is carried out through SP2KP markets, traditional markets, Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) outlets, KD/KMP networks, and other officially appointed BULOG partners to ensure that households have access to affordable cooking oil.
Simon emphasized that BULOG regularly conducts monitoring and evaluation activities together with the Food Task Force and related agencies to oversee both distribution and retail sales in the field.
The monitoring effort aims to ensure that consumers can obtain essential food commodities at fair prices while preventing market irregularities.
Responding to reports of Minyakita being sold above the government price ceiling in certain locations, BULOG Bali stressed that any traders or distributors found charging more than the HET are not part of its official distribution network.
“We firmly state that if any trader or distributor is found selling Minyakita above the HET, that individual or business is not an official BULOG Bali partner. All of our authorized partners have been instructed and committed to complying with the applicable pricing regulations,” Simon said.
BULOG Bali also expressed its support for oversight measures carried out by local governments, the Food Task Force, and other relevant authorities to maintain price stability and prevent practices that could harm consumers.
The public is encouraged to purchase Minyakita through official distribution channels, BULOG-affiliated traditional markets, and Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) outlets to ensure they receive the product at the government-regulated price.
BULOG Bali reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the distribution of strategic food commodities as part of broader efforts to maintain food supply stability, control prices, and support food security throughout Bali Province.
