Bali Police Chief Calls on Public to Preserve Harmony and Report Security Disturbances via 110

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pasma Royce has called on the public to strengthen tolerance, preserve social harmony, and actively participate in maintaining public safety and security. He made the appeal during a Friday congregational prayer visit at At-Taufiq Mosque on Jalan WR Supratman, Denpasar, on Friday, October 23, 2026.

The visit was attended by senior officials from the Bali Regional Police. During his address to worshippers following the prayer, Pasma emphasized that maintaining security across Bali requires cooperation between the police and all segments of society, including religious leaders and traditional community leaders.

“The police and all elements of society must work hand in hand to maintain security and public order throughout Bali. The police cannot carry out their duties effectively without the support of the entire community,” Pasma said.

He explained that the Friday prayer visits serve as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the police and the public while providing an open channel for communication. Through these activities, residents can convey their concerns, suggestions, expectations, and complaints directly to the police.

According to Pasma, direct engagement with the community is essential to improving police services and identifying potential security issues at an early stage. Public feedback, he added, can help the police address problems appropriately and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The initiative is also aligned with the National Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto’s Quick Wins program, particularly its objective of creating safe public spaces.

Pasma urged residents not to hesitate to report any security disturbances they witness, experience, or become aware of. Reports can be submitted to the nearest police station or through the police emergency hotline at 110.

“Any issue related to public security and order should be reported immediately to the nearest police station or through the 110 service. This is a priority for us. Every report and complaint will receive a prompt response,” he said.

The Bali Police chief also encouraged the public to maintain tolerance and solidarity amid the island’s diverse social and cultural communities. He stressed the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue and deliberation while continuing to respect the law.

Pasma reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the Friday prayer visits and visiting places of worship across Bali to strengthen relationships with local communities and hear their concerns firsthand.

Through the initiative, the Bali Regional Police aims to foster closer cooperation between law enforcement and the public, with the shared goal of keeping Bali safe, peaceful, and conducive to daily life.
