BADUNG, BALINEWS.ID – Bali Life Foundation celebrated its 20th Anniversary at Swiss-Belresort Pecatu on Friday (July 17), commemorating two decades of dedication to empowering vulnerable children and communities across Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Changing Lives Together, Celebrating the Journey, Building the Future,” the event served as both a reflection on the organization’s achievements and a renewed commitment to expanding access to education and community empowerment.

Observed by BALINEWS.ID, the celebration was filled with warmth and togetherness. The evening began with a dinner accompanied by live acoustic music before continuing with the official opening ceremony.

The event was further enlivened by a series of performances presented by children supported through Bali Life Foundation’s programs, including participants from the Street Kids program, the Suwung Community, and the Children’s Home.

Bali Life Foundation Director and Chairman Piter Panjaitan highlighted the organization’s mission over the past two decades, emphasizing its continuous efforts to improve the lives of orphans, abandoned children, survivors of violence, and disadvantaged people.

“This year’s theme is ‘Changing Lives Together, Celebrating the Journey, Building the Future.’ Our mission is to transform the lives of people in need through education and empowerment. We don’t simply give people fish but we teach them how to fish, enabling them to become independent and build sustainable livelihoods,”said Piter Panjaitan.

Beyond operating a children’s home in Bali, Bali Life Foundation also manages learning centers for street children and families living around the Suwung landfill area. The organization has been actively involved in humanitarian efforts, including providing emergency relief during the 2017 Mount Agung eruption and distributing nutritious food packages to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to its programs in Bali, the foundation has expanded its educational initiatives by establishing schools for underprivileged children in remote and underserved regions, including Palu, Sumba, and several other parts of Indonesia.

Looking ahead, Bali Life Foundation has set an ambitious goal of providing quality education to 10,000 children over the next decade, particularly in remote areas throughout the country.

“Our vision for the next 10 years is to educate 10,000 children in remote communities, both in Bali and across Indonesia, ensuring they have access to quality education. We invite everyone to join us in building a better future for Indonesian education and creating equal learning opportunities for every child,” Piter concluded.
