BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – Polda Bali destroyed thousands of grams of various types of narcotics valued at Rp23.5 billion during an official disposal ceremony held at Bali Police Headquarters on Wednesday (March 4, 2026).

Bali Police Chief, Daniel Adityajaya, stated that the narcotics were confiscated from multiple drug trafficking cases uncovered by the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation of Bali Police in early 2026.

Inspector General Adityajaya detailed the evidence destroyed, which included 5,661.86 grams of methamphetamine, 4,932 ecstasy pills equivalent to 2,453.92 grams, 1,186.75 grams of cocaine, 10.58 grams of marijuana, 2.32 grams of hashish, 35.96 grams of THC, and 2 grams of psilocin.

“Several types of narcotics destroyed today are valued at Rp23,440,749,600. Based on our calculations, this operation has potentially saved 39,256 people from the dangers of drug abuse,” Adityajaya said.

He emphasized that the data presented was not merely numerical figures, but a clear reflection of how serious and dangerous narcotics crimes are for society.

“All narcotics evidence we destroyed today is highly significant in safeguarding the future of our nation’s children, especially the younger generation in Bali,” he stressed.

The two-star general asserted that the destruction of drug evidence is not merely a legal procedure, but also a strong message to narcotics offenders.

“We ensure that the state is always present, law enforcement officers are never negligent, and Bali is not a safe haven for drug trafficking,” Adityajaya concluded. (FF)
