ASITA Bali Delivers Aid to Orphan and Farm Laborer Family in Kintamani

BANGLI, BALINEWSID.COM  – The Bali chapter of the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) provided social assistance to an orphan in Banjar Kayu Padi, Songan B Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, on Friday (March 13, 2025). The activity was part of the organization’s social initiative, ASITA Care, which is regularly carried out as a form of concern for the community.

During the visit, ASITA Bali handed over aid in the form of basic food supplies, baby clothes, diapers, and cash assistance amounting to Rp6 million to the family currently caring for the child. The support is expected to help meet daily needs and ease the family’s burden.

Among those present at the event were ASITA Bali Vice Chair for Environment, Social, and Cultural Affairs I Ketut Sediya Yasa, Vice Chair for Public Relations Kadek Darmayasa, Vice Chair for Destinations Wayan Subrata, along with members of the Board of Directors (BOD) and the ASITA Bali secretariat.

Humanitarian volunteer from Songan B Village, Made Nistra, SH., who has been helping care for the child and accompanied the family to receive the assistance, expressed gratitude for the support provided by ASITA Bali.

“We represent the family in expressing our sincere appreciation to ASITA Bali. This assistance means a lot to the family currently caring for the child,” said Made Nistra.

Meanwhile, ASITA Bali Vice Chair for Environment, Social, and Cultural Affairs I Ketut Sediya Yasa stated that the activity is part of the organization’s regular social responsibility efforts.

“This is part of our routine ASITA Care program. As tourism entrepreneurs, we do not only focus on profit but also remember the importance of sharing and caring for the surrounding community,” Yasa explained.

ASITA Bali Vice Chair for Public Relations Kadek Darmayasa also emphasized the organization’s commitment to maintaining harmonious relationships with various stakeholders.

“As an association of travel and tourism entrepreneurs, ASITA consistently strives to build harmonious relationships not only with business partners but also with the environment and local communities,” he said.

In addition, ASITA Bali Vice Chair for Destinations Wayan Subrata reminded the public of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness, particularly in tourism areas.

“We encourage the community to help keep the environment clean so that tourist destinations remain comfortable and attractive for visitors. Kintamani, in particular, has great tourism potential that must be preserved,” Subrata noted.

Through this social initiative, ASITA Bali hopes to continue making positive contributions to the community while strengthening the synergy between the tourism sector and the social environment in Bali. (*)
