Industry Night 2026 Lands in Bali, Bringing F&B, Hospitality and Creative Communities Together

BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG — Industry Night 2026 is coming to Bali as part of its Special Takeover Tour, bringing together professionals and communities from the food and beverage (F&B), hospitality, creative, media and education sectors. August 10, 2026.

The Bali edition is being held in collaboration with KUTAKITA, a campaign initiated by Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and Discovery Mall Bali to mark the 36th anniversary of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and the 22nd anniversary of Discovery Mall Bali.

The collaboration brings together two initiatives built around a similar spirit: creating spaces where people can meet, exchange ideas, share experiences and grow together.

Industry Night, initiated by Taste Narrative and Ray Janson Radio, has developed into a collaborative platform connecting chefs, bartenders, hospitality professionals, creatives, brands, media, suppliers, students and communities.

Meanwhile, KUTAKITA celebrates the long journey of the Kartika Plaza area and its development alongside local communities, industry players and individuals who have contributed to its story.

The Industry Night movement traces its roots to Satu Indonesia Rasa, a campaign launched by Ray Janson Radio and Taste Narrative in 2023. The initiative was based on the belief that food and beverages are not simply about taste, but also about people, culture, stories and relationships.

The philosophy is also aligned with initiatives aimed at promoting Indonesia’s culinary heritage, including Unilever Food Solutions’ Future Menu campaign, which encourages industry players to explore, develop and reintroduce local culinary traditions to younger generations.

Through KUTAKITA, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and Discovery Mall Bali are also highlighting a legacy built over more than three decades in Kuta. Employees, guests, tenants, communities, partners and other stakeholders have all contributed to the development of the Kartika Plaza area as one of Bali’s established tourism and hospitality destinations.

The meeting of Industry Night and KUTAKITA is therefore positioned as more than a single event. It is intended to create a collaborative space where different sectors of the industry can connect, exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities.

Ray Janson, founder of Ray Janson Radio, said Industry Night originally emerged from a simple desire to create a place where industry colleagues could gather and exchange perspectives.

“Initially, it was simple. I just wanted to have a space to gather with friends, share stories, exchange perspectives and learn from one another. From small gatherings like these, ideas, opportunities and collaborations often emerge that we never imagined before. Industry Night was created to keep that spirit alive on a larger scale,” Ray Janson said.

Since its first edition in 2023, Industry Night has continued to grow as a collaborative gathering for F&B and creative industry professionals in Indonesia.

The event began with the theme Intimate Gathering in 2023, followed by Ripples in 2024 and Loud & Proud in 2025. Each edition has sought to strengthen connections and encourage collaboration among industry players across different cities in Indonesia.

Dyas Zhafran, Creative Director of Ray Janson Radio and Director of Taste Narrative, said Industry Night was never intended to be merely an event.

“Industry Night was never created simply to be an event. We want to create a space that brings together good people, good ideas and a spirit of mutual growth. We believe that the progress of an industry cannot be built alone,” Dyas said.

He added that the partnership with KUTAKITA was particularly meaningful because both initiatives share the belief that major journeys are built by people who choose to grow together.

The Bali edition of the Special Takeover Tour will combine hospitality, gastronomy, education and networking through a series of curated programs and experiences.

The event will take place at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Jalan Kartika Plaza, Kuta, Badung, Bali, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The program will feature Mebat, a traditional Balinese ceremony, Industry Talks, Kitchen Takeover and Bar Takeover.

The Kitchen Takeover will involve a lineup of culinary collaborators, including Chef Putu Armen, Chef Gunartha Tude, Chef Putu Dodik, Chef Nanda, Chef Wiro, Dewa Wahyu and Ramadhani Prasetya.

The Bar Takeover will feature Chef Ray Janson, Chef Manu and Chef Wayan Kresna, alongside collaborators Arey Barker, Borty Jessika and Raka Ambarawan.

With the participation of professionals from across the F&B, hospitality and creative sectors, Industry Night 2026 in Bali is expected to serve as a meeting point for ideas, experiences and new partnerships.

Rather than focusing solely on an event-driven gathering, the collaboration seeks to reinforce a broader message: the future of an industry depends not only on competition, but also on the ability of its people and communities to connect, collaborate and grow together.
