BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — The Denpasar City General Elections Commission (KPU) recorded a total of 526,506 registered voters as part of its Continuous Voter Data Updating (PDPB) for the third quarter of 2026.

The figure comprises 257,572 male voters and 268,934 female voters.

The updated voter data was presented during an Open Plenary Meeting on the Recapitulation of the Third-Quarter 2026 Continuous Voter Data Update, held at the Denpasar KPU office on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

The meeting was part of the KPU’s ongoing responsibility to maintain and update voter data on a continuous basis, ensuring that changes in the population of Denpasar are reflected in the voter database.

The plenary meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Bali Provincial KPU, the Denpasar City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), leaders of political parties that participated in the 2024 elections, relevant government agencies and other stakeholders.

Voter Data as the Foundation of Electoral Administration

Denpasar KPU Chair Dewa Ayu Sekar Anggaraeni emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate voter data as part of the institution’s responsibility to protect citizens’ constitutional voting rights.

She said voter data updating was not merely an administrative process but was directly connected to ensuring that citizens who meet the legal requirements to vote have accurate and properly maintained voter records.

The continuous updating process takes into account various demographic changes, including residents who have newly become eligible to vote, changes in population data, changes of residence and other changes in civil status.

Through the PDPB mechanism, the KPU seeks to ensure that voter data remains aligned with the latest demographic conditions in Denpasar.

The process also requires coordination among the KPU, government institutions, election supervisors, political parties and other stakeholders. The Denpasar KPU has also emphasized transparent and accountable procedures so that every voter-data update can be properly verified and accounted for.

With the completion of the third-quarter recapitulation, the number of voters recorded in Denpasar stands at 526,506, with female voters accounting for a larger share than male voters.

The Denpasar KPU said continuous voter-data updating would remain an ongoing process as part of preparations for future elections and efforts to ensure that citizens’ voting rights are properly recorded from the voter-registration stage through election day.
