BNNP Bali Takes Anti-Drug Education to Students Through ‘Anti-Drug Mukbang’

BALINEWSID.COM, KARANGASEM – The Bali Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP Bali) has taken an unconventional approach to drug prevention by combining public education with a large-scale cooking and food-sharing event for students in Karangasem.

Dubbed “Anti-Drug Mukbang,” the activity was held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in collaboration with the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of BNNP Bali and its staff. The program targeted students of SDN 2 Nawakerti and SMPN 5 Abang in Karangasem.

Rather than relying solely on conventional drug-prevention campaigns, BNNP Bali packaged its message in a more informal and human-centered format. Food was prepared in large quantities and distributed to students while messages about the dangers of drug abuse were delivered.

Head of BNNP Bali Brigjen. Pol. Dr. Putu Putera Sadana said the approach was designed to bring drug-prevention efforts closer to the community while providing direct benefits to residents.

He emphasized that the fight against narcotics should not be measured solely by law enforcement achievements or the amount of drugs seized.

“Success is not only measured by how much evidence is seized, but by how many lives and young generations are saved through early prevention,” Putu Putera Sadana said.

The initiative reflects BNN’s broader campaign under the slogan “War on Drugs for Humanity,” which emphasizes that the fight against narcotics is not merely a law enforcement matter but also a moral responsibility to protect the future of humanity, particularly young people.

The program is also part of BNN’s efforts to strengthen drug prevention in support of the Asta Cita priorities of the Indonesian government.

Under BNN chief Commissioner General Suyudi Ario, BNN has promoted the “Ananda Bersinar” program, or National Anti-Narcotics Action starting with drug-free children, as part of its early prevention strategy.

Through a combination of education, community engagement and a human-centered approach, BNNP Bali is seeking to introduce awareness of the dangers of narcotics from an early age.

The “Anti-Drug Mukbang” initiative is expected to become part of broader efforts to create drug-free educational environments and prevent young people from becoming victims of narcotics abuse.
