BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — Bali Regional Police have tightened security for the international 51st ASCOPE Council Meeting 2026 at the Bali Beach Convention Center (BBCC) in Sanur, Denpasar, on Monday, October 26, 2026. All delegates, committee members, and invited guests entering the venue are subject to security screening to prevent dangerous items from being brought into the event area.
The security operation is being carried out by personnel from the entrance security unit, known as Pam Secdoor, under the event security task force of Operation Gapura Agung VI-2026. The team is led by Second Entrance Security Controller Iptu I Gede Sudarsana, S.H.
Security checks are focused on the venue’s main entrance, where officers inspect individuals and their belongings using X-ray screening equipment and metal detectors. The measures are intended to detect sharp weapons, prohibited dangerous items, and suspicious objects before they enter the venue.
AKBP Tri Joko Widiyanto, A.Md., S.H., M.A.P., Head of Operations at the Bali Police Directorate of Vital Object Security (Ditpamobvit), is serving as the Ring I Security Controller during Operation Gapura Agung VI-2026. He said the screening procedures are part of standard police security protocols for international events.
“Pam Secdoor personnel are conducting inspections at the BBCC entrance using X-ray screening equipment and metal detectors. These measures are intended to ensure that no dangerous items, sharp weapons, or suspicious objects are brought into the venue,” he said.
The security measures are designed to safeguard participants attending the 51st ASCOPE Council Meeting 2026, a gathering of senior executives from oil and gas companies across Southeast Asia.
Bali Police reported that the situation around BBCC remained safe, orderly, and under control as of Monday.
Operation Gapura Agung VI-2026 will continue until all activities related to the ASCOPE Council Meeting 2026 have concluded, ensuring security throughout the international event.
