BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — The Denpasar Immigration Office deported a 42-year-old Pakistani national identified by the initials WH through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Monday (August 24, 2026), following an immigration violation.

WH was deported after immigration authorities determined that he had violated Indonesian immigration regulations. He departed Bali at 12:25 p.m. WITA on Batik Air Malaysia flights OD0178 and OD0131, traveling from Denpasar to Kuala Lumpur and onward to Lahore, Pakistan.

The deportation was carried out by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section of the Denpasar Immigration Office, which monitored WH until he left Indonesian territory.

The case was handled under Article 71(a) in conjunction with Article 75(1) of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration.

WH was known to hold a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) as an investor. However, during an immigration patrol conducted under the Dharma Dewata operation in the Padangsambian area, officers said he was unable to provide information about the type or location of the business he was operating in Indonesia.

Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office R. Haryo Sakti said all foreign nationals staying in Indonesia are required to comply with immigration regulations and applicable laws.

“Every foreign national staying in Indonesian territory is obliged to comply with immigration regulations and applicable laws,” Haryo said.

He added that immigration authorities could take enforcement measures against foreign nationals who violate the law, including deportation, in accordance with their statutory authority.

Haryo said immigration supervision and enforcement are part of the Immigration Office’s responsibilities to monitor the presence and activities of foreign nationals in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Ramdhani, stressed that every immigration violation would be dealt with in accordance with applicable regulations.

“Immigration law enforcement is a form of the Directorate General of Immigration’s commitment to upholding the dignity of the state, ensuring legal certainty, and creating a safe and comfortable Bali,” Ramdhani said.

The Denpasar Immigration Office said it would continue to strengthen monitoring of foreign nationals and their activities within its jurisdiction. The public can also report suspected immigration violations through the office’s official complaint channels.
