BULOG Warehouses in Bali Reach Full Capacity, 13,000 Tons of Rice Secure Supply for Four Months

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — Rice availability in Bali Province is confirmed to be in a safe condition, as warehouses operated by Perum BULOG across all regencies and cities are reported to be at full capacity. With total stock reaching 13,000 tons, the government rice reserve in Bali is estimated to meet public demand for the next four months.

Nationally, rice stocks controlled by Perum BULOG have reached 4.88 million tons, reflecting a strong and stable food reserve position. This achievement aligns with increased domestic procurement realized since early 2026.

President Prabowo Subianto conducted a direct inspection of the BULOG warehouse complex in Magelang to ensure the readiness of national food reserve distribution. During the visit, he was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Jaya.

“The President wants to directly ensure that our food reserves, especially rice, are in a secure condition and ready for distribution to the public,” Teddy said.

At the regional level, BULOG Bali has also recorded significant progress in domestic procurement. Out of a target of 3,786 tons of rice equivalent, realization has reached 3,419 tons, or approximately 92.4 percent. This performance strengthens Bali’s contribution to national food security.

Head of BULOG Bali Regional Office, Muhamad Anwar, emphasized that the optimal warehouse capacity reflects the government’s successful strategy in absorbing farmers’ harvests while maintaining supply and price stability.

“This is tangible proof of the government’s commitment to ensuring that the basic needs of the community are fulfilled,” he stated.

To anticipate further stock increases, BULOG has prepared strategic measures by utilizing additional storage facilities through borrowing schemes, independent leasing, and warehouse service partnerships. Nationally, more than 1,254 additional warehouse units have been activated to ensure all reserves are safely and evenly stored.

With these conditions, the government remains optimistic that rice distribution will run smoothly, including in Bali—one of the regions with high consumption levels. Adequate stock availability is expected to maintain price stability and strengthen public confidence in national food management.
