Illegal Truck Parking Targeted in 2026 Patuh Agung Operation, Bali Police Conduct Road Safety Campaign on Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – Bali Police have stepped up efforts to improve road safety by targeting illegal parking practices among truck and freight vehicle drivers along the Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass as part of the 2026 Patuh Agung Operation on Friday.

The traffic awareness campaign was led by AKBP Inggit Widyasari, S.I.K., Head of Task Force 1 (Preventive Division). It targeted truck drivers and freight vehicle operators who frequently travel along or stop on the bypass.

During the campaign, officers provided direct safety briefings to drivers, distributed informational leaflets, and placed road safety stickers on their vehicles.

The campaign focused on prohibiting illegal parking along road shoulders and carriageways, which can obstruct traffic flow, cause congestion, and increase the risk of road accidents.

AKBP Inggit Widyasari said the initiative was part of a preventive and educational approach aimed at improving driver awareness and compliance with traffic regulations, particularly among operators of large vehicles.

“This activity is a preventive and educational measure aimed at encouraging drivers, particularly those operating large vehicles such as trucks, to be more disciplined and avoid parking indiscriminately along the Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass for everyone’s safety,” she said.

Through the distribution of leaflets and safety stickers, Bali Police hope to raise awareness among drivers about traffic regulations and encourage greater cooperation in maintaining road safety and order.

The campaign was conducted safely and smoothly, with no significant incidents reported throughout the activity.
