BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG – Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is set to host KUTAKITA Sundown Week, a celebration combining live music, art, culture, culinary experiences, creative communities and sunset moments at one of Kuta’s iconic beachfront destinations.

The event is being held to commemorate the 36th anniversary of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and the 22nd anniversary of Discovery Mall Bali. The series of activities runs from June 2026 through January 5, 2027, with daily programs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The main activities will take place at the Helipad and Tupai Bar areas of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, as well as at various activation areas within Discovery Mall Bali.

Open to the public with free admission, KUTAKITA Sundown Week is designed to welcome hotel guests, mall visitors, local residents, creative communities, families, domestic tourists and international visitors.

The event features a range of entertainment and lifestyle programs, including live music, acoustic sessions, DJ performances, dance shows, art and cultural performances, community activities, culinary tenants, local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creative products and other lifestyle experiences.

The program also involves support and participation from the Bali Provincial Government, the Badung Regency Government and the Denpasar City Government. The collaboration is expected to showcase Bali’s rich artistic and cultural heritage while providing opportunities for local creative communities and SMEs to engage with the public.

The name KUTAKITA is an abbreviation of Kuta, Kartika, Kita. “Kuta” represents the iconic destination and community where the celebration takes place. “Kartika” reflects Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel as a long-standing hospitality landmark in Kuta, while “Kita,” meaning “us” or “together,” represents the spirit of collaboration and togetherness among the hotel, mall, communities, partners, visitors and the wider public.

General Manager of Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Luis Daniel Garcia, said KUTAKITA Sundown Week was designed as a space where creativity, culture and community could come together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

“We want to create a destination that can be enjoyed not only by hotel guests, but also by the people of Bali, visitors from across Indonesia and abroad, communities and families looking to spend quality time together,” Garcia said.

Meanwhile, Alfred Yodhian, chairman of the KUTAKITA Sundown Week event, said the program had been specially curated to become more than just an entertainment festival.

“We want KUTAKITA Sundown Week to be a destination where everyone can enjoy quality entertainment, appreciate the richness of art and culture, and spend meaningful time with family and friends,” Alfred said.

The event is organized by Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in collaboration with Discovery Mall Bali, with support from Artha Graha Network and several businesses within its network, including Electronic City, LV8 Resort Hotel and other supporting units.

Through collaboration across the hospitality, retail, lifestyle, entertainment and community sectors, KUTAKITA Sundown Week is expected to create an inclusive destination experience while strengthening community engagement and bringing new energy to Kuta as a vibrant tourism area in Bali.
