BALINEWSID.COM, BADUNG – Indonesia’s state-owned logistics agency, Perum BULOG, has confirmed the readiness of its Government Rice Reserve (CBP) stocks to support the distribution of Food Assistance for the July 2026 allocation in Bali.
The assurance came during a working visit by Perum BULOG Finance Director Hendra Susanto to the agency’s Bali Regional Office at the Sempidi Warehouse Complex in Badung Regency, one of the province’s main government rice storage facilities.
During the visit, Hendra conducted a comprehensive inspection covering warehouse conditions, rice quality, stock availability, storage standards, and the readiness of distribution infrastructure. Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office currently manages 11,464,157 kilograms of Government Rice Reserve (CBP), which is considered sufficient to meet the July 2026 Food Assistance allocation and other government food security programs.
Hendra emphasized that the Food Assistance program is one of the government’s strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening national food security while helping maintain the purchasing power of low-income households.
“Food Assistance is a strategic government program to safeguard food security and support people’s purchasing power. Therefore, stock readiness, rice quality, and smooth distribution must remain the top priorities for all BULOG personnel,” Hendra said.
Meanwhile, Head of Perum BULOG Bali Regional Office, Simon Melkisedek Lakapu, assured that the Government Rice Reserve in Bali is in a safe and adequate condition to support the July 2026 Food Assistance distribution.
He said BULOG Bali has completed a series of preparations, including ensuring rice quality, preparing transportation fleets, and intensifying coordination with local governments and relevant agencies to guarantee timely distribution.
“We have taken all necessary measures, from maintaining rice quality and preparing distribution vehicles to strengthening coordination with regional authorities. With these preparations, we are confident that the July 2026 Food Assistance distribution will proceed smoothly according to the government’s schedule,” Simon said.
Beyond reviewing stock readiness, the directors’ visit also served to reinforce good warehouse management practices, improve public service quality, and strengthen cooperation with stakeholders in maintaining food price stability and security across Bali.
Perum BULOG reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government’s national food security policy through professional, accountable, and sustainable management of the Government Rice Reserve. With sufficient rice stocks and a well-prepared distribution system, the agency expects eligible beneficiaries across Bali to receive food assistance on time, ensuring the program delivers maximum benefits to the community.
