BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The Denpasar Class I Immigration Office officially launched its first immigration service center at Plaza Renon on Friday, aiming to improve public access to immigration services and enhance service quality for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals.
Located on the third floor of Plaza Renon, the service center will operate from June 12 to July 10, 2026, every Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA).
The initiative is designed to provide easier access to immigration services without requiring applicants to visit the main immigration office.
Services available at the temporary facility include new passport applications, passport renewals and replacements, as well as stay permit extension services for foreign nationals.
For Indonesian passport services, the Denpasar Immigration Office has allocated a daily quota of 60 applications, which can be accessed through the M-Paspor application. Meanwhile, foreign nationals seeking stay permit extensions will be accommodated with a daily quota of 25 applications. Queue numbers for foreign nationals must be obtained directly at the location no later than 11 a.m.
Denpasar Immigration Office Head R. Haryo Sakti said the presence of immigration services in a shopping center reflects the institution’s commitment to bringing public services closer to the community.
“The presence of the Denpasar Immigration Office at Plaza Renon is part of our commitment to continuously improve service quality. We want to ensure that people can easily access immigration services and manage their immigration documents more conveniently. This initiative is in line with the directive of Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko, who consistently emphasizes the principle of ‘Immigration for the People,’” Sakti said.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare all required documents in accordance with existing regulations before visiting the service center. The office expects this measure to help ensure a smooth application process and improve service efficiency.
Through the Plaza Renon service center, the Denpasar Immigration Office hopes to optimize public services, reduce congestion at its main office, and provide a faster, more convenient, and efficient experience for applicants, particularly those in the Denpasar area.
Separately, Bali Regional Office Head of the Directorate General of Immigration, Felucia Sengky Ratna, described the initiative as a public service innovation tailored to community needs.
“We want to ensure that immigration services are more accessible to the public, including at centers of daily community activity. By bringing services closer to people, we can provide a more convenient, faster, and comfortable experience,” Ratna said.
The Bali Regional Immigration Office and the Denpasar Immigration Office stated that they will continue to develop professional, adaptive, and community-oriented immigration services through similar innovations in the future.
