Horror at Clinic: Doctor in Bogor Allegedly Threatens Patient With Machete Over Sandals

BALINEWSID.COM, BOGOR — A general practitioner identified by the initials DA, who runs a private clinic on Jalan Nangka in Cijujung Village, Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency, West Java, is now facing police investigation after allegedly intimidating a patient with a machete over a trivial dispute about footwear.

The shocking incident occurred on Friday (March 13, 2026) when a patient identified as PBN came to the clinic seeking medical treatment. Instead of receiving medical care, the patient was reportedly threatened with a machete after a misunderstanding related to sandals worn inside the examination room.

According to the victim, after waiting for his turn, he was asked to enter the examination room by the doctor in a harsh tone.

“Hey, take off your sandals,” the doctor reportedly shouted, as recalled by the victim.

Noticing that the doctor himself was still wearing sandals inside the room, the patient responded jokingly.

“You’re also wearing sandals,” he said lightly.

However, the remark allegedly triggered the doctor’s anger. The doctor reportedly responded arrogantly and ordered the patient to leave the room.

“You don’t accept it? This is my house. Get out. I make the rules here,” the doctor allegedly yelled.

The situation escalated when the doctor reportedly went to the kitchen, grabbed a machete, and swung it toward the patient. Although the victim tried to apologize, the doctor’s aggression did not subside and he even challenged the victim to report the incident to the police.

The frightening scene took place in front of the victim’s 10-year-old daughter, who reportedly ran out of the room in fear. The child is said to be deeply traumatized after witnessing her father being threatened with a sharp weapon.

Reported to Police

Fearing for his safety, PBN later filed a report with the Bogor Police, accompanied by his lawyer James Sitorus, SH, from the law firm James Sitorus & Partners.

The police have officially received the complaint under report number LP/B/626/III/2026/SPKT/Polres Bogor/Polda Jawa Barat.

The case has quickly drawn public attention, as doctors are expected to uphold humanitarian values and professional ethics, not engage in acts of intimidation against patients seeking medical help.

“We hope the report filed by our client can be processed quickly by Bogor Police and that the suspect can be arrested so this incident can serve as a deterrent for anyone serving the public,” said James Sitorus on Saturday night (March 14, 2026).

Journalists have attempted to contact the doctor involved for confirmation. However, as of the publication of this report, there has been no response or official statement from the doctor.
