BADUNG, BNEWSID – Intensifying competition in the global tourism industry is pushing Bali’s tourism players to accelerate digital transformation. Responding to this challenge, KBA Destination Management Company (KBA DMC) has officially launched a B2B-based hotel distribution platform designed to digitally and seamlessly connect Indonesian hotels with global partners in real time.
The launch event took place at the Ballroom of Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai on Thursday (January 22, 2026), attended by tourism industry stakeholders, hoteliers, and international partners. Named Tour Plan DX, the platform is specifically developed for the business-to-business (B2B) segment and does not target direct consumer bookings.
KBA DMC Chief Executive Officer, I Putu Winastra, S.AB., M.A.P., said that international travelers and overseas travel agents have long relied on global online platforms to access hotel products. This situation, he noted, encouraged KBA DMC to position itself as a strategic digital distribution bridge for local hotels.
“Currently, travelers, especially overseas travel agents, go straight to global online platforms. Through this platform, we aim to distribute hotel products digitally with real-time availability and pricing,” Winastra explained.
He emphasized that technological adaptation is no longer optional in today’s fast-paced global tourism landscape. “If we fail to compete with other players, we will inevitably be left behind,” he asserted.
Unlike online platforms targeting individual travelers, Tour Plan DX is exclusively dedicated to overseas business partners. Through the integrated system, KBA DMC’s international partners can directly book hotels across Indonesia, particularly in Bali, via a single platform.
“Our overseas partners only need to click on our platform to book hotels in Indonesia and Bali. This is purely B2B, not B2C. We respect and maintain our long-standing partnerships in several countries,” said Winastra, who also serves as Chairman of the Bali Chapter of the Indonesian Association of Travel Agencies (ASITA).
KBA DMC’s established markets span Western and Eastern Europe, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and North America. Tour Plan DX itself is a proven B2B platform widely used by major tour operators across Europe.
With KBA DMC joining the Tour Plan DX ecosystem, Bali hotels are expected to benefit from easier system integration for inventory and pricing management. “Most hotels in Bali already use compatible channel managers, so the process is relatively simple, just connect the system,” he added.
Through this initiative, KBA DMC hopes its partner hotels will enhance their international competitiveness, expand global distribution access, and foster sustainable, long-term partnerships with international buyers.
The launch further underscores KBA DMC’s commitment to strengthening Bali’s position as a technology-driven international tourism hub built on strategic global partnerships. (*)
