BALINEWSID.COM, BANDAR LAMPUNG — Lampung Regional Police and its district-level units uncovered 379 drug-related cases and arrested 530 suspects during a 14-day anti-drug operation conducted across the province.

Operation Antik Krakatau 2026 was held from Sept. 14 to 27, involving officers from the Lampung Police Narcotics Directorate and narcotics units at police departments across the province.

“We uncovered 379 narcotics cases during the operation and arrested 530 suspects,” Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helfi Assegaf said at the Lampung Police headquarters on Monday (Sept. 28, 2026).

Of the 530 suspects arrested, 81 were listed as priority targets in the operation, meaning police achieved 100 percent of the targeted arrests. The remaining 449 suspects were classified as non-targets.

Police also identified 81 targeted locations and 298 non-target locations during the operation.

A total of 779 officers were deployed, consisting of 160 personnel from the Lampung Police task force and 619 personnel from task forces at district police departments.

The operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of illegal drugs, including 85,916.71 grams, or approximately 85.9 kilograms, of methamphetamine.

Police also seized 49.34 grams of cannabis and eight cannabis plants, 274 ecstasy tablets and 2.37 grams of ecstasy, as well as 309 pills classified as other drugs.

The authorities also confiscated 463.6 grams of synthetic cannabis and 1,309 Etomidate products.

In addition to the drugs, officers seized Rp67.781 million (about US$4,000) in cash allegedly linked to the cases.

Police also confiscated 27 motorcycles and nine cars in connection with the investigations.

Helfi said the total estimated economic value of all evidence seized during the operation reached Rp158.838 billion.

“The total economic value of all the evidence seized reached Rp158,838,252,000,” he said.

Based on police estimates, the seizures were expected to prevent the potential impact of drug abuse on approximately 432,356 people.

The suspects face charges under several provisions of Indonesian law, depending on their alleged roles and the evidence seized. Police cited Article 609 paragraph (2) letters A and B of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, as well as Article 612 of the same law in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.

Helfi praised the officers involved in Operation Antik Krakatau 2026 and emphasized the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public in combating drug trafficking.

“Combating drug trafficking requires cooperation and synergy from all parties, both law enforcement officers and the public. We encourage all elements of society to play an active role in preventing and combating drug trafficking,” Helfi said.

He also urged residents to use police services if they require assistance or a rapid response.

“People in Lampung can use the 110 Police hotline and the Siger Presisi Lampung service if they need quick police assistance,” he said.
