BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR — Living World Denpasar marked World Tourism Day on Sept. 27, 2026, by bringing Balinese arts, culture, entertainment, tourism destinations and local products together at its Sriwedari Roof Garden.
The shopping and lifestyle center, developed by Kawan Lama Group, organized a series of activities designed to give visitors and tourists an opportunity to experience Balinese culture through traditional performances, interactive cultural activities and information about local tourism destinations.
The program ran from the afternoon into the evening and was designed to allow visitors not only to watch cultural performances but also to take part in activities introducing Balinese arts and handicrafts.
The event opened with a Rindik Bali performance, a traditional Balinese musical presentation that welcomed visitors to the venue. As sunset approached, visitors were treated to a Sunset Kecak performance at the Sriwedari Roof Garden.
The Kecak performance became one of the main highlights of the event, offering visitors an opportunity to experience one of Bali’s best-known traditional performing arts against the backdrop of the evening sky.
Visitors were also invited to participate in cultural activities organized with Balinese art studios and communities. Activities included learning basic Balinese dance movements and making traditional Balinese bracelets.
The cultural program was later combined with more contemporary entertainment through a Beatles tribute performance by a Bali-based tribute band. The performance featured popular songs by the internationally renowned British group The Beatles.
The combination of traditional Balinese arts and international music was part of the event’s concept to create an experience that could appeal to visitors from different backgrounds.
Beyond performances and cultural activities, Living World Denpasar also featured an exhibition area where visitors could learn about tourism destinations in Bali.
Tourism partners taking part in the exhibition included Bali Zoo, AeroXSpace Adventure, MSB Bali and Bali Bird Park. Visitors could obtain information about the destinations and purchase admission tickets at promotional prices during the event.
The event also showcased a selection of locally made Balinese products. Among them were Krilazz Bali, which produces taro chips in various flavors, and Wiznu Murthi Collection, a fashion brand featuring products inspired by local creativity and cultural heritage.
Juanita Rustandi, General Manager of Marketing at Living World Denpasar, said the World Tourism Day event was intended to position the venue not only as a shopping and entertainment destination but also as a space where visitors could experience Balinese culture.
“Through this World Tourism Day event, we want Living World Denpasar to be more than just a destination for shopping and entertainment. We also want it to be a space where tourists can get to know and experience the richness of Balinese culture,” Juanita said.
She said the event brought together art performances, interactive activities, tourism destination partners and local products in a single experience.
“We hope this activity can create a positive impression while strengthening Living World Denpasar’s role as a community hub for local communities and visitors from different regions and countries,” she said.
Living World is a shopping center concept developed by Kawan Lama Group, combining home living, lifestyle and entertainment. The group opened its first Living World in Alam Sutera, Tangerang, in 2011, followed by its second location in Pekanbaru, Riau, in 2018.
Living World Denpasar is the group’s third location and combines a shopping and lifestyle destination with environmentally friendly features and architectural elements inspired by Balinese culture.
The World Tourism Day celebration at Living World Denpasar brought traditional arts, entertainment, tourism information and local products together in one venue, offering visitors another way to explore aspects of Bali beyond conventional tourist destinations.
