Shareholder Adrian Campbell Says Investors and Shareholders Are Both Victims in Marina Bay City Case

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The alleged disappearance of tens of billions of rupiah invested in the Marina Bay City villa and residential development project in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, continues to unfold. Investor and shareholder of PT Marina Bay Investments, Adrian James Campbell, has officially reported alleged misuse of company funds to the Bali Police through his legal representatives from Hendarman Law Firm.

Adrian James Campbell’s attorney, Raden Suharsanto Raharjo, stated that several media reports circulating in recent months have failed to present a complete picture of his client’s legal position in relation to the project.

“As legal counsel for Adrian James Campbell and PT Marina Bay Group, we would like to respond to a number of reports that have linked our client to alleged investment losses in the Marina Bay City project in Lombok,” Raden said during a press conference in Seminyak, Bali, on Friday (June 5, 2026).

According to Raden, information currently circulating in the public domain could create misleading perceptions, particularly regarding the role of Adrian James Campbell, the involvement of Kinnara Limited, and the management of funds provided by buyers and investors in the Marina Bay City project.

Raden explained that Adrian James Campbell, through PT Marina Bay Group, holds a 50 percent shareholding in PT Marina Bay Investments, the company responsible for developing part of the Marina Bay City Lombok project. He emphasized that Campbell’s ownership stake remains valid and has not been transferred to any other party.

Regarding funds paid by consumers and investors, Raden stated that the money was received by PT Marina Bay Investments and PT Bali Real Estate Investments for its intended purpose. However, subsequent investigations allegedly uncovered strong indications that a portion of those funds had been used for personal interests by Jamie McIntyre, who at the time served as Director of PT Marina Bay Investments and currently holds the position of Commissioner.

“Our client possesses evidence supporting those allegations,” Raden said.

In addition to his role as Commissioner of PT Marina Bay Investments, Jamie McIntyre is also said to hold a management position within PT Bali Real Estate Investments, giving him full access to the management of project funds.

Campbell’s legal team stated that they have conducted extensive investigations and gathered evidence pointing to the alleged misuse of company funds. They further argued that various obstacles that have delayed the project’s progress, including administrative, land, and operational issues, occurred while the project was under McIntyre’s management.

Raden revealed that, based on information obtained by his client, consultants had previously been appointed to handle licensing and land administration matters. However, those consultants reportedly ceased their work after payments for their services were not fulfilled.

As a shareholder, Campbell is said to have repeatedly requested transparency regarding the company’s financial reports, access to corporate documents, and the convening of General Meetings of Shareholders (GMS) to clarify the use of funds and the status of the project. According to his legal team, those requests did not receive adequate responses.

As a result, Campbell filed a report against Jamie McIntyre with the Bali Police on allegations of investment fraud and embezzlement of company funds.

The reports were registered under Police Report Receipt Number LP/B/828/X/2025/SPKT/POLDA BALI dated November 26, 2025, and Police Report Receipt Number STTLP/B/52/I/2026/SPKT/POLDA BALI dated January 15, 2026.

Raden expressed appreciation to the Bali Police for handling the report and also welcomed legal action recently taken by Solvere Law Firm on behalf of 30 consumers who filed a similar complaint.

According to him, the consumers’ report could strengthen efforts to uncover the facts surrounding the case, which had already been reported earlier by Adrian James Campbell.

Campbell’s side emphasized that relations with consumers remain positive. Several consumers have reportedly provided statements supporting Campbell’s complaint. Likewise, Campbell has expressed his willingness to assist and provide testimony in connection with the report filed by consumers through Solvere Law Firm.

“We believe that both the consumers and Adrian James Campbell are victims of Jamie McIntyre in the Marina Bay City project. Therefore, we fully support every legal process currently underway while upholding professionalism, objectivity, and independence,” Raden said.

As of the publication of this report, Jamie McIntyre had not issued any official statement regarding the allegations made by Adrian James Campbell’s legal team. The case remains under investigation by the Bali Regional Police.
