Bali Prosecutor’s Office Chief Officially Inaugurates Gianyar District Prosecutor, Stresses Strengthening Internal Oversight and Transparency in Law Enforcement

BALINEWSID.COM, DENPASAR – The Kejaksaan Tinggi Bali (Bali High Prosecutor’s Office) held an Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony for officials within its jurisdiction on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. WITA.

The ceremony was led directly by the Head of the Bali High Prosecutor’s Office, Dr. Chatarina M., S.H., S.E., M.H., and took place at the Sasana Dharma Adhyaksa Hall of Kejati Bali.

The position rotation is part of a necessary cycle aimed at regeneration and organizational refreshment within the prosecution service. In her remarks, Chatarina emphasized that restructuring through reassignment and personnel refreshment is essential to ensuring the institution remains strong, solid, and prepared to respond to increasingly dynamic and complex challenges in law enforcement.

During the ceremony, Mirza Erwinsyah, S.H., M.H. was officially sworn in as the new Head of the Gianyar District Prosecutor’s Office, replacing Sandhy Handika, S.H., M.H., who has been promoted to a Head of Division position at the Development Affairs Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia.

Addressing the newly appointed district prosecutors, the Bali Chief Prosecutor delivered three key directives.

First, she stressed the importance of upholding transparency and accountability while avoiding all forms of misconduct.

Second, she called for strengthening internal supervision mechanisms and fostering a performance-oriented work culture based on measurable outcomes.

Third, she instructed the prosecutors to map legal issues within their respective jurisdictions and promptly formulate strategic, responsive, and solution-oriented measures.

The leadership expressed hope that the newly appointed officials would carry out their duties with integrity and professionalism, thereby reinforcing public trust in the prosecution service and ensuring fair and transparent law enforcement across Bali. (FF)
